Polytech schools offer several types of engineering training (initial under student status - FISE, initial under apprentice status - FISA, in-service training - FC) and different levels of admission (general baccalaureate, students from Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Écoles, Bachelor's degree or Master's degree, foreign diplomas, etc.).

The PeiP preparatory cycle: the Post-Bac course

Entry to the 1st year is open to students in the final year of secondary school in France or in AEFE-approved secondary schools in the current year or in year N-1, through the Concours Geipi Polytech : 120 places at Polytech Nice Sophia

Duration of studies: 5 years, including 2 years of study in the PeiP (Polytech engineering school programme)
Validation of the PeiP at Polytech Nice Sophia gives access to the following engineering specialities of the school: Buildings, Electronics, Water Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics & Modelling, as well as to a hundred or so specialities of the Polytech network.
Access to the Biological Engineering speciality is not accessible from the PeiP of Polytech Nice Sophia. +infos

The engineering cycle is accessible after a Bac+2 or Bac+4
The engineering cycle corresponds to the 3rd, 4th and 5th years of the Polytech programme. Admission is in the 3rd year (after a baccalaureate) or in the 4th year (after a baccalaureate).
The procedures vary according to the student's profile.

Admission to initial training under student status (FISE) is common to all the schools in the Polytech network. This is a single application that is valid for all of these schools, regardless of the level of recruitment. Admission to training under apprentice status (FISA) is specific to each school in the Polytech network.
 
After a second or third year of university studies

Admission to the third year at Polytech Nice Sophia is open to students in their second or third year of a Bachelor's degree (L2 or L3) in scientific fields who are eligible to enrol in one of the school's specialisations.
Recruitment is common to all 15 schools in the Polytech Network.

After a foreign degree

Admission to the third year at Polytech Nice Sophia is open to students who hold a foreign qualification equivalent to the French Bac +2, 3, or 4 after passing an entrance exam in scientific fields that are relevant to one of the school's specialisations.
